Small and Medium-sized Enterprises : FCFA 10,2 Billion To Promote Social Economy

The Minister of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicrafts, Achille Bassilekin III on November 29, 2022 defended the solicited financial allocation of the Ministry which stands at FCFA 10 billion 261 million before the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly headed by Hon. Rosette Moutymbo Ayayi. The resources, the Minister explained, aim at achieving three main programmes namely; promoting entrepreneurship, transformation and modernisation of production units, as well as governance and institutional support to the small and medium-sized, social economy and the handicraft sub sector.
As concerns promoting entrepreneurship, explanatory notes of the Minister highlight that the Ministry will continue with the dissemination of the entrepreneurial culture among young people as part of the popularisation of the National Entrepreneurship Strategy, focus on promoting incubation, and continue to develop special programmes for entrepreneurs in regions affected by crises, in particular through its “Start and...
