Supporters : Vital Weapon To Morocco’s Success!

Arguably the best set of supporters at the World Cup so far, they have been playing a crucial role in their team’s progress.
“If this is a dream, then don’t wake me up,” Moroccan supporters have been telling themselves. They are living the moments of their lives in Qatar and don’t want it to stop anytime soon. However, if their team has gone this far in the tournament, then they have been part and parcel of the success. Moroccan fans have arguably been the most vocal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, outnumbering every opponent on their way on match days. You would be forgiven to think Morocco are the host nation whenever the Atlas Lions play.
Draped in their familiar red and green, they are camped in the stands behind the two goal posts, chanting and beating drums as if their lives depended on it whenever their team is in control of the ball. The rhythm changes to whistles and jeers immediately the opposition is in control and that doesn’t stop till they are back in possession. It becomes even more interesting when the supporters decide to embark on the “Viking thunderclap” which is a whole vibe to the neutrals watching on.
A heavy drum beat is followed by a thunderous clap of the hands with a unanimous sound, then they all go silent. The process is repeated again and again before concluding with a round of applause. This is just one of their eye-catching rehearsed technique which has served them so well in the tournament so far.
