Buea Urban Constituency : Communes With Constituents

Honourable Malomba Esembe, Member of Parliament (MP) for Buea Urban, on Friday December 16, 2022, communed with the people of Muea in his constituency. The get-together was aimed to update the constituents on proceedings of the November 2022 ordinary session of Parliament. The meeting at the Muea Customary Court esplanade brought together elite, traditional rulers, community stakeholders and the population. 
Malomba Esembe explained that the 2023 budget of the country has increased. He stratified the amount into various subheads and how it shall be raised through different sectors. He equally explained that taxes would slightly increase to implement the National Development Strategy 30. The reason why MPs will no longer receive parliamentary grants again was put to the population. The issue of the Presidential Reconstruction Plan for the North West and South West Regions and how the funds will be raised for that purpose was explained to the citizens. He urged them to continue to live in peace so that development projects can easily be executed. To solve the water problem in Muea, he donated FCFA 500,000 into a fund to construct more boreholes in that community.
