Intermediate Lions : Third Friendly Match Today

The Cameroonian team plays Sudan in Manastir, Tunisia after the 1-1 draw against Côte d’Ivoire in the second friendly on Saturday January 7, 2023.

In preparation for the 2022 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria, the Intermediate Lions of Cameroon play a friendly match against Sudan today January 9, 2023 in Monastir, Tunisia. It is the third friendly after the team has recorded two successive draws within the framework of their Tunisian acclimatisation training camp. The last draw was on Saturday January 7, 2023 against Côte d’Ivoire. The game ended 1-1 after the Intermediate Lions showed some progress as compared to their first draw game against Uganda. In Saturday’s match, Cameroon succeeded to hold their opponents to a goalless draw at half time with constructive moves that are worth commending. 
In the second half, the boys of Coach Alioum Saidou came in stronger and after much work succeeded to create a penalty at the 65’. It was successfully taken by Valentin Beo Bato to put the score at 1-0 in favour of Cameroon. This goal ignited confidence in the Lions who continued to put pressure on their opponents as well as obstructing their moves.
