2023 Guinness Super League : Lekie Vs Éclair At Opener

On January 14, 2023, the duo from the Lekie division of the Centre region; Lekie FF and Éclair FF of Sa’a will play the opening game of the 2023 Guinness Super League. This is according to a Day 1 calendar signed January 6, 2023 by the Secretary General of the Female Football League of Cameroon, Sidonie Guemche Tagne. According to this calendar, only the Lekie derby to kick-off at 3 p.m at the Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium will be played on January 14, 2023. The remaining Day 1 matches will be played on Sunday January 15, 2023. 
The derby promises to be fierce as both clubs have taken their preparations for the upcoming season very serious especially in terms of recruiting new players and trainings. Eclair FF for example were able to snatch strong players like Kévine Ossol and Ngo Boum from AS Awa FC. Just like Eclair, Lekie have equally recruited some of the best feet in the championship such as Brenda Tabe, Farida Machia, Melvis Tantoh and goalkeeper Ongmahan; all from Awa FC. The presence of these fine players in both sides will no doubt produce quality football. Lekie just like Eclair have played several friendly matches and are currently making final touches.
