Cameroon-Commonwealth : Celebrating Fruitful Cooperation

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute presided at a diner in honour of Lord Jonathan Peter Marland on April 11, 2023 after the commissioning of the institution’s regional hub in Yaounde.
An official diner was on April 11, 2023 offered by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute, to the Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), Lord Jonathan Peter Marland. Attended by members of government and the diplomatic corps, the diner followed the official launch of CWEIC’s regional hub for Cameroon and Gabon. Cameroon’s rich cultural heritage was displayed during the diner through various musical interlude and other arts.
In a toast by the Prime Minister, he stated that Cameroon and the organisation are writing a new page on their cooperation framework, something which falls in line with the vision of the Head of State. On behalf of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, Head of Government thanked the Chairman for the esteemed collaboration thus far and for setting up the regional trade hub in Cameroon. Joseph Dion Ngute noted that the opening of the regional hub in Cameroon will improve expectations of the country, build a broader network of trade partners and open new horizons especially with the view of implementing the Continental Free Trade Area. The Prime Minister made allusion to the speech of the President of the Republic while receiving new year wishes from members of the diplomatic corps during which he said Cameroon is very proud to feature amongst the pilot countries for the execution ...
