2023 GCE Practical : Nalova Lyonga Visits Examination Centres

The Minister of Secondary Education yesterday, May 4, 2023 made a tour of some centres in Yaounde as candidates carry out practical sessions.

The Minister of Secondary Education, Professor Nalova Lyonga, has lauded the serenity that reigns in some examination centres in Yaounde as candidates undertake the 2023 practical session of the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Ordinary and Advanced Level examination. This was during a visit to some centres yesterday, May 4, 2023. 
In all the five centres visited, Prof. Nalova Lyonga appreciated the excellent atmosphere of serenity that has existed since the start of the examination on May 3, 2023. “It is a hitch-free session and no major problem has been encountered”, the Minister of Secondary Education told the press. At each centre, Nalova Lyonga sought to know if there was any problem. She also enquired about candidate’s attendance and reasons for those who did not show up in the examination hall. From all indication, administrators in various examination centres had effectively prepared to receive candidates. School premises were kept clean and necessary security measures taken. 
The visit began as early as 9:00 a.m, took off at the Government Bilingual Technical High School where candidates were undertaking practical in Tailoring and Home Economics for the GCE Ordinary Level. At the centre, the Minister inquired about the readiness of the various laboratories and ICT rooms receiving candidates for the practical session.  At the St Benedict Catholic College, Advanced Level candidates where undertaking the Chemistry practical session, just as it was the case at the Government Bilingual High School (GBHS),  Mendong and Etoug-Ebe neighbourhoods in Yaounde. GCE Food and Nutrition practicals were also taking place ...
