2024 CHAN Qualifiers : Intermediate Lions Testing Strength

Ahead of the imminent qualifiers of the 2024 African Nations Championship, Cameroon is already on its guards; preparing towards an honourable performance. That is why within the framework of their preparatory camp which began in mid-May, the technical staff is bent on having an idea of the capacities of the preselected players so as to create a consistent data base. It is against this backdrop that a friendly match pitting the Intermediate Lions and MTN Elite Two Champions, Victoria United, was organised on Friday May 19, 2023 at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo.
During Friday’s friendly game, Victoria United commonly called One People One Power (OPOPO) held the Intermediate Lions to a 1-1 draw.  The two goals of this encounter were scored at the first half. Ivan Djantou from Astres of Douala scored the opener for the Intermediate Lions before the equaliser came from Victoria United several minutes later.
This match no doubt gave an opportunity for Coach Alioum Seidou, to evaluate the output of the players in their respective compartments of play. It was equally a platform for him and the entire technical staff to identify what is not working and revise their strategies where necessary.
