Yaounde II Research Council : Committee Members At Work

The Rector of the University of Yaounde II, Professor Adolphe Minkoa SHE and members of the Scientific Council of the University have reviewed the status of implementation of the resolutions of last Scientific Council of the University which took place last December 15, 2023. Meeting during its second session on May 22, 2023, the President of the Council, Professor Adolphe Minkoa SHE used the opportunity to commission members of the Scientific Council. The Council is responsible for the annual scientific development of the University while presenting the general state of research within the University.
At the end of discussions, the 2022 annual scientific report of the University was launched. The Vice President of the Scientific Council and Vice Rector in charge of Research and Cooperation at the University of Yaounde II, Professor Nadine Machikou said the report focused on topical issues happening in the country. The report is framed around two topics. First is on the bases of happenings in the country in various domains that cover fields of studies at the University. As such, the report will dwell on yearly topics amongst which the Media, Demography, Economic, Judicial, Political and Diplomatic issues. Another major aspect of the report will be on the position of the university on key issues happening in the country. In its last session, the Council adopted the topic on the digital economy. The report, which will be finalised by the end of the year, will portray an analytical view of the University’s point of view on the state of the digital economy in the country.
The resolution to put in place the operational tools of the research topics in the University of Yaounde II, Soa were established during the session.
