Handball : Favourites Maintain Lead

The sixth and seventh playing days of the competition took place in courts across the country last weekend.

Top favourites in the National Elite Handball Championship have maintained the lead in the competition. The sixth and seventh playing days of the competition took place in courts across the country last weekend. In the men’s competition, Spartiates of Yaounde beat University of Douala 39-25, FANZ Handball Club of Yaounde beat AS Vita Handball Club of Yaounde 46-19, Soleil Levant Handball Club beat DUC Handball Club of Dschang 33-27 and FAP Yaounde beat Minuh/Afriland Handball Club of Yaounde 34-20. 
In group A, FAP Yaounde is leading the table with six points after five playing days. They are followed by Dreams Handball Club of Douala with six points after four playing days and DUC of Dscahang with four points after four playing days. At the bottom of the table are Soleil Levant of Bertoua with two points and AS Phoenix of Douala with two points. In group B, Friendship of Yaounde are leading with eight points, and University of Douala are third with four points. Two teams are swimming in relegation waters. They are Spartiates of Yaounde with two points and AS Vita of Yaounde zero point.
