El Kouraji Mohcine : Steadfast Rider

Morocco’s El Kouraji Mohcine is the winner of the 2023 International Cycling Tour of Cameroon. He maintained the yellow jersey after the last lap of the competition on June 11, 2023 with a cumulated time of 20h35’52”.  He was 1’14” ahead of his direct follower on the general classification. He replaces Moïse Mugisha of Rwanda who won the last edition of the Tour of Cameroon.  
The 25-year-old El Kouraji began his successful journey when he toiled to clinch the yellow jersey after the fourth lap from Kribi to Douala. With the fifth lap cancelled, the athlete who participated in the 2020 Summer Olympics maintained his yellow jersey being 1’14” ahead of his follower after the complex sixth lap from Loum-Dschang.
