2023 Cup of Cameroon : Stade Bandjoun Sails To Semi-finals

West Regional League side, Stade FC of Bandjoun have continued their history-making trend at the ongoing 2023 Cup of Cameroon. The amateur club on Saturday June 17, 2023, picked one of the semi-finals spots of the competition after beating Stade FC of Bertoua. After a goalless draw, Stade Bandjoun won Stade Bertoua on post-match penalty shootouts (4-3). The 0-0 draw simply depicted the steadfastness of both sides that did not want to give up. It was during the post-match penalty shootouts that Stade Bandjoun; evidently luckier than their opponents, carried the day. Stade Bandjoun entered the contest with their heads high after already eliminating elite sides like Dragon of Yaounde, Bamboutos of Mbouda and Stade Renard on their path to the quarters. Now in the semi-finals, the West Regional club that have already gained confidence will want to continue to spring surprises. They are hoping to better their second place finish in 1996.
