Pharmacy and Dental Training : Minister Fame Ndongo Evaluates Curricula Course

The Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Jacques Fame Ndongo has reiterated the need for a continuous assessment in a bid to improve the quality of medical training in the country. He was speaking at the 11th session of the National Commission for Medical, Pharmaceutical and Odontostomatological Training held on Tuesday June 20, 2023. 
Professor Fame Ndongo said although victories have been achieved in reforms aimed at amending medical training in the country, it is not time to sing praises but to keep working.  “The work will undoubtedly require us to combine our efforts and pool our intelligence”, Fame Ndongo noted. Reason why the session focused on the impact, quality and relevance of medical training in Cameroon particularly in the field of pharmacists and dental surgeons. 
During discussions, members focused on the validation of the report of the 10th session of the National Commission, assessed the 2022 national medical training examinations, the distribution of places open to the 2023 session of the national examination of aptitude for medical training and also the state of preparation for the 2023 session of the examinations. The session also permitted members to examine the situation of candidates not presented by the heads of establishments for the national examination in clinical and therapeutic synthesis, the issuing of diplomas at the end of training in medical training establishments as well as the adequacy in the link between the exercise of the profession of a medical doctor and that of university lecturer.
