Cameroon’s presence was remarkably felt yesterday June 22, 2023 at the opening ceremony of the two-day Paris Summit for Global Financing Impact. President Paul Biya who arrived in the French capital Wednesday took a frontline participation in the opener of the high-level conclave convened by French President, Emmanuel Macron, to seek consensus in establishing an adaptable and robust platform to deliver more resources, protect especially struggling economies from possible economic or geopolitical shocks. Having best standards of fairness in the international community that can lead to global poverty reduction so as to ensure better living standards for the world’s population is highly sought for by the Summit’s manifold participants.
President Paul Biya who was accompanied to the opening ceremony by the Ministers of External Relations, Finance and Minister Director of the Civil Cabinet as well as Cameroon’s Ambassador to France, was welcome on arrival at the event ground by French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna. The calibre of participants and the level of deployment in Paris raise much hopes that something great could be in the making.
