Late Commissioner Patcha was given last military honours in Buea before his burial.
The remains of late commissioner Patcha Boniface Thomas who slept in the Lord on January 20th, were laid to rest in Bota-Limbe on Saturday February 18, 2017. The 80-year-old retired police officer was given the last military honours in a ceremony at the Bongo Square in Buea after the corpse was removed from the Buea Regional Hospital Mortuary; with his casket carried by eight police commissioners. After the military honours, the corpse was taken to the Catholic Church in Middle Farms-Limbe for prayers and then final burial at his residence in Bota under the supervision of the personal representative of the Delegate General for National Security, Jean Marie Mvogo who happens to be the inspector General in charge of human resources, training and health.
Late Commissioner Patcha Boniface Thomas was born on December 5th 1937 in Buea and after obtaining the ‘O’ levels joined the police force as an inspector. He moved up the ranks after having served in Jakiri, Mokondje near Kumba, Buea and Bamenda. He was appointed chief of service for criminal in...
