Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship : Kenya Already In Cameroon

The team arrived over the weekend and is bracing up with the assurance of the African Volleyball Confederation that the competition will effectively kick-off on August 14, 2023.


Barely a week to the kick-off of the Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship on August 14, 2023, preparations have hit high gear with teams already preparing to touch the competition ground. Kenya is the first delegation to arrive Yaounde. They arrived over the weekend and were received by the Secretary General of the Cameroon Volleyball Federation Carole Ambatta and Head of the Financial Department, Joe Archange Samba Ngwana. Kenya, that are evidently still regretting their defeat against Cameroon in the 2021 final, want to be at their best in Yaounde this year. With a technical staff made up of five Brazilian coaches, the arrival of the delegation a week before kick-off unveils the Kenyans' determination to claim the crown that has eluded them for three consecutive editions. 
It should be said that this 21st edition of the African Women’s Volleyball Championship brings together 19 duly affiliated countries. 
These different teams are bracing up in earnest with the assurances of the African Volleyball Federation (CAVB) that the competition will effectively run from August 14-25, 2023 at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex.
