2023 Women’s World Cup : Quarterfinals Begin Today

The quarterfinal matches of the ongoing 2023 Women’s World Cup will kick off today August 11, 2023. Eight teams will be battling for spots in the semi-finals of the largest-ever Women's World Cup. Spain will take on the Netherlands today at the Wellington Regional Stadium, New Zealand, today, August 11, 2023. This is the first time Spain is reaching the quarterfinals of the World Cup. Spain has scored the second-highest number of goals so far in the tournament; 13. But Spain is by no means invincible as fellow quarterfinalist Japan beat them in the final game of the teams' group stage.
Netherlands began the tournament in a group with the U.S., and finished in the top spot after beating Portugal and Vietnam and tying the U.S. The Dutch will be at a disadvantage as they face Spain.
