Basketball Cup of Cameroon : Who Wins The Crown?

The winners of the 2023 Basketball Cup of Cameroon in both the senior men’s and women’s categories will be known this Saturday September 2, 2023. In the women’s category, University of Douala Basketball Club (UDLA) log horns against Onyx Basketball Club of Yaounde in the final at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex. The match begins at 2 p.m. The two teams come into the game with almost equal arms. They both have players who represented Cameroon at the recent Francophonie Games in Kinshasa, but UDLA have an added advantage with Josiane Tcheumeleu, the revelation of the Francophonie Games, the team's top scorer and one of the best in the league. She has capacities of changing the game at any moment in collaboration with her other proficient team mates.
Onyx also have some fine individualities in their ranks, including Miryam Giolobo and Ebenn Suzanne. But the majority of the team is young and still craving for experience. The difference in the game could be made at the physical level and University of Douala seems to be on the advantage side. This does not mean that Onyx cannot spring surprises.
In the men’s category, BEAC Yaounde faces AS Bonaberi of Douala in the final to be played at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex. The clash which begins at 4 p.m. promises to be electrifying.
