Sports Development : Proximity Sports Facilities Project Under Review

The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi granted audience to a delegation from the French Agency for Development (AFD) on Friday September 8, 2023 in his cabinet. The delegation was led by the Country Director of AFD Cameroon, Virginie Dago. 
Speaking at the audience the Country Director presented to the Minister the project for the construction of proximity sports facilities in five regions of the country for the good of Cameroonians of all ages. The sports facilities will be constructed in Bafoussam (West), Bertoua (East), Garoua (North), Bamenda (North West) and Maroua (Far North) regions. Minister Mouelle Kombi gave them information on the state of infrastructure in the country and the possibilities for AFD to explore. He assured the delegation from AFD of the support of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education in the realisation of the project. The Director of Sports Development in the French Agency for Development, Christophe Dias, said the visit to the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education was fruitful. He said they are in Cameroon for one week with the objective of a sports project as major aspects.
