Bamenda University : Vista Of Professional Training Opportunities

From specialized centres for the training of teachers, the University of Bamenda has metamorphosed to full-fledged university offering a vista of courses in the arts, sciences and technology.  The university has six faculties and six colleges offering a panoply of courses that sell like hot cake in the job market. According to the university authorities, they provide both theoretical and vocational training and their products are exceling in the job market.

Faculty of Arts:  The faculty offers degree courses right up to PhD in communication and development English language and English literature), Geography and Planning, History and Archeology, Linguistics and African languages, Performing Arts (theatre, television and film studies, visual arts and history of arts), Philosophy and the University of Bamenda Language Centre Intercultural Communication and Mediation, Translation and Interpretation.
Faculty of Education: It offers courses in Counseling and Psychology, Education psychology, Physical education and Animation, Educational Foundations, Curriculum and Pedagogy as well as Educational leadership.
Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences: This faculty offers the following courses; Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, Management and Marketing.
Faculty of Health Sciences:  It trains students in Nursing and Midwifery, Public Health, Medical laboratory Sciences, medicine and bio-medical Sciences.
Faculty of Law and Political Sciences: Trains in English Private Law, Public Law, Political Science, French Private Law or capacite en droit.
Faculty of Science: It comprises bio-chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Micro biology and Parasitology, Chemistry, Geology Mining and Environmental Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science and physics. 
College of Technology: Offers courses in Agribusiness Technology, Agricultural and Environmental Engineering, Animal Production Technology, Crop Production Technology, Nutrition, Food and Bio-Resource Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering as well as Forestry and Wildlife Technology.
