Guinness Super League : Title Race On Course

The first playing day of the competition took place in stadiums across the country on Saturday, October 21, 2023.

The race for the title of the 2023/2024 women’s football championship in Cameroon called Guinness Super League has begun. The first playing day of the competition took place in stadiums across the country on Saturday, October 21, 2023. The competition proved to be tough as each side is determined to reach the summit this season. A total of six matches were played with 17 goals scored. Out of the goals, 11 were scored at home and the other six were away goals. 
The biggest shakeup was the 4-2 defeat of the current champions, Lekié Filles against Authentic Ladies of Douala during the opening game at the Bepanda Annex Stadium. The encounter saw a much improved Authentic Ladies team. Authentic Ladies that finished fourth last season have begun with great ambitions of doing better than last season. The first three goals of Authentic Ladies were scored in the first half and the last one in the second half. Even though Lekié FF scored two goals in the second half, it was not enough to change the situation. The performance was ample proof of the intensity of the surprises in the fourth edition of the Guinness Super League women's competition.
