MTN Elite One : Dynamo, Stade Renard Consolidate Lead

They maintained the first spots in Groups A and B respectively with 10 points after day five matches which ended on October 23, 2023.

Newly promoted club, Dynamo of Douala is on a good footing when it comes to its objectives of creating upsets and carrying the day in the MTN Elite One championship. Despite its 1-2 loss against Bamboutos FC of Mbouda on match Day 5, the club maintained the driving seat in Group A with 10 points. This defeat is the first the club is recording since the start of the competition. The Douala-based club is closely followed by Bamboutos of Mbouda who made several steps up to displace Canon of Yaounde on the second position. They realized this feat after the win against leaders, Dynamo. Canon Yaounde was pushed down to the third position after the 0-0 draw against Union Douala. PWD Bamenda that has been struggling since the beginning of the championship finally got a sigh of relief when they defeated AS Fortuna 1-0. In all, the club has won two matches, lost two and drew one. Colombe of Dja and Lobo, which now sits eighth on the standings, finally recorded their first win in the competition as they defeated Les Astres 2-1. Before then, they had recorded two draws and two defeats. 
In Group B, it is still Stade Renard of Menoua that is leading the troops. The club consolidated its position as leaders after the 1-0 win against Yong Sport Academy. Stade Renard began showing signs of steadfastness when they held the champions of Champions, Coton Sport of Graoua to a goalless draw...
