African Football League : Sundowns-Wydad AC In Epic Clash

The two sides will be seeking to win the first AFL trophy in the final on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
The second leg final of the African Football League (AFL) will take place in Pretoria (Tshwane), South Africa at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Sunday, November 12, 2023 where the Inaugural African Football League (AFL) Champions will be crowned. Mamelodi Sundowns and Wydad Casablanca now have themselves to contend with, as the winner will pocket the $4 million (FCFA 2.5 billion) prize. Like the other games, the final is being played on a home-and-away, (two-legged) basis. Wydad AC of Casablanca were struck by tragedy earlier this week when left back Oussama Falouh passed away ahead of Sunday’s match. He died on Thursday after being in comma following a serious car accident on October 11, 2023. Wydad will be vaunting on the talents of players like El Motie, El Amloud, Attiat-Allah, Harkass and Draoui, among others.
Sundown’s squad depth will be put to the test once again as key players are doubtful for the match on Sunday. They passed that test against Al Ahly after playing two quarterfinal legs without forwards Peter Shandulile and Lucas Ribeiro Costa as well as Thapelo Morena, Sipho Mbule, Bathusi Aubaas.
