Fight Against HIV : African Synergy Distributes Sensitisation Tools

20 schools in the Centre Region, 50 associations involved in the fight against HIV, three ministerial departments and five health structures have received sensitisation materials from the Pan-African non-governmental organisation, African Synergy Against HIV and Suffering, to intensify the fight against HIV in the society. The equipment were handed over to representative of the structures yesterday, November 15, 2023, by the Executive Secretary of African Synergy, Jean Stéphane Biatcha. The ceremony coincided with the 21st anniversary of the humanitarian association founded by the First Lady of Cameroon, Chantal Biya, on November 15, 2002 in Yaounde. The Executive Secretary of African Synergy said the association was celebrating 21 years of a fierce fight against AIDS and Suffering.
Jean Stéphane Biatcha revealed that despite the difficult economic situation, the humanitarian commitment of Madame Chantal Biya and her sisters, First Ladies of Africa, has remained intact. “The synergy of actions around the fight against AIDS, desired and driven by the First Lady of Cameroon, has never been so strong. Her personal determination and commitment are the meaning of her message on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the association,” the Executive Secretary underlined. While urging the audience to take time and go through the entire message of the First Lady of Cameroon, on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of the organisation, the Executive Secretary noted that the ceremony is within the framework of the 8th edition of Cameroon Month against AIDS in view of the celebration of the World AIDS Day on December 1, 2023.
