Christmas Day : Remembering The Redeemer

Christians nationwide attended various church services to commemorate the birth of the Son of God on December 25, 2023.
As Christians celebrated Christmas Day yesterday December 25, 2023, those particularly at the Etoug-Ebe Baptist Church in Yaounde were urged to reflect on the fact that they have been adopted as sons and daughters into God’s family. The call was made by one of the Pastors, Tanjong Hilarious during a special church service on the theme “God’s Redeeming Love Revealed At Christmas.”
Reading from the biblical book of Galatians 4: 1-7, Pastor Tanjong Hilarious prayed that the congregation will live as those who have been rescued from bondage and brought into the family of God, eagerly anticipating the inheritance that awaits them in His kingdom. He also called on the Christians to extend the invitation for others to experience the same adoption through faith in Christ by sharing the good news of salvation and reconciliation with the heavenly Father to at least one person on Christmas Day. According to the sermon, the Preacher said at the fullness of time, God sent His Son to redeem the ruined world. Hence, if any one comes to God through faith in Jesus Christ, he will no longer be a slave to fear, sin or Satan, etc. but will be adopted into God’s family as a beloved child of God to inherit an everlasting inheritance.
According to the biblical book of Galatians the preacher said the Apostle Paul emphasizes that faith, not works, is the basis for a relationship with God. He explains that through Jesus Christ, all believers are redeemed from the curse of the law and are adopted as children of God.
