CAN 2023 : Teams Marvel With Outfits

The social media was hijacked as some participating nations of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) arrived the competition ground in Côte d’Ivoire. The main attraction was their high fashion outfits which in most occasions valorized their respective origins and cultures. 
The Black Stars of Ghana created a lot of sensation when they arrived Abidjan on Wednesday January 10, 2024 draped in Kente over white t-shirts. The Ghanaian football association posted shots of almost all the players as they majestically walked down the tarmac with splendor and with looks of a people proud of their culture. 
The Nigerians were equally a center of attraction. They arrived endowed with white Kaftan and cap. The outfit is wildly worn in Nigeria and beyond. The well decorated green cap added mayonnaise on the look. Coach Jose Peseiro and his coaching crew including his countrymen from Portugal, weren’t left out in dressing in the stylish native wear with a crown-like cap that was made to go with it. The Nigerians are known for always making huge statements with their looks when they arrive for major competitions. They always incorporate elements of their rich cultural heritage into their travel wear.
