Limbe Nautical Arts and Fishers Institute : Board Members Vote 2024 Budget

This was during the 16th Ordinary session of the institution that took place in Douala on January 12, 2024.
Board members of the Limbe Nautical Arts and Fisheries Institute – LINAFI, were in Douala on January 12 for their 16th ordinary board meeting. The board meeting that was presided at by the Board Chair and Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, Dr. Taiga, saw the presentation of the 2023 annual performance report as well as the presentation of the 2024 budget and the year's development plan. It came out from the 16th session that the 2023 budget of five hundred and fifty-five million F (555 000 000 F) was executed at 85%. The money was used to extend the aquaculture facility in LINAFI and the continuation of the fight against massive importation of fisheries products into Cameroon.
For 2024, the budget witnessed an increase. The board members voted the sum of FCFA Five Hundred and sixty-three million F (563 000 000 F) which will be used for training and continuous training, applied research, governance, and institutional support just to name of few. According to the Director of LINAFI, Dr. Etah Collins Ayuk, 2024 will see them redoubling efforts in the fight against massive importation of fisheries products.
