The 24-year-old saved the Lions from a Guinean shock by scoring the equaliser in their opening game on January, 15, 2024.
The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon could only clinch a 1-1 draw against Guinea in their opening Group C match of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire on January 15, 2024. Franck Magri could be described as the savior of the Lions as he scored the equalizer some six minutes into the second half. Thanks to a smooth cross from Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, the striker showed superb aerial ability to bring Cameroon back into the game. He might have had his difficulties playing out of his comfort zone (centre-forward), but his goal prevented the Lions from losing all three points.
With this result, the 24-year-old Franck Magri who plays for Toulouse in France, positions himself as one of the young sensations in the competition ready to devour.
