Supreme Court : Institution’s Website Goes Operational

The first click to present the webpage: www.coursupreme.cm to the public was made by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Daniel Mekobe Sone, yesterday, January 24, 2024.
With a click on the website: www.coursupreme.cm, litigants, lawyers as well as other judicial staff can now have access to their legal files without necessarily coming to the premises of the Supreme Court. The first click on the webpage was made yesterday, January 24, 2024 by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Daniel Mekobe Sone, in the presence of the Procurer General of the Supreme Court, Luc Ndjodo, judges and a host of other judicial staff.
In a solemn ceremony to official launch the website, Chief Justice Daniel Mekobe Sone said the website is a window of the Supreme Court to the world, which has become a global village. He explained that the website is one of the process to computerise and modernise the institution. To this effect, magistrates, court registrars as well as staff of the general secretariats of the Supreme Court, under the guidance of specialists had undertaken training course to familiarise themselves with IT tools. With the putting in place of the website, the Chief Justice said Supreme Court officials will be able online to keep abreast with the status of any case being investigated or judged, the nature and content of any ruling handed down, and any difficulties encountered in settling cases. The website will also enable all litigants to follow their cases at the Supreme Court wherever they find themselves. Having become the highest institution of the judiciary, Daniel Mekobe Sone said it is only on rare occasions that the structure is visible. Such as during New Year wishes ceremony to the President of the Republic, the solemn re-opening of the Court, the swearing-in of Court Auditors and members of other court commissions.
