Improving living standards : Douala City Council Receives Medical Equipment

The materials were handed to the council authorities on Thursday, January 25.

Authorities of the Douala city council have appreciated the donation of medical materials with CFA 10 million. This gesture from a partner, Addax Petroleum Company, is in line with the city's council's objectives to ameliorate the lives of the population and foster development. The medical equipment made up of eleven treatment trays, 521 Ethylo test tip box of 10 charts, 12 plastic trash baskets 50L, 15 yellow betadine 125 ML, 60 strips boxes of 50, 4 glucometer boxes of 1, 20 label T8 sterile surgical gloves, 150 Malaria rapid test box of 40 each, came at a time when the city council is bent of ensuring that the population remains healthy. 
While receiving the gifts, the 2nd assistant city Mayor of the Douala city council, Dr. Roger Njitchoua, said they launched a call for support in the domain of health, especially for the rapid malaria test kids and the company responded positively. He said the medical equipment will go a long way to improve the health of the population and it will be put at their disposal. For him, if the people are healthy they will work well and the city will develop. The health of the population in Douala, he went on, is the priority of the city council, thus the medical equipment will be destined more especially for the vulnerable population.
