Cameroon Tribune : A Pioneer Journalist Passes On

Casimir Datchoua Soupa, who died on December 8, 2023 will be buried on February 23 at Komako, in the Upper-Nkam Division of the West Region.

Casimir Datchoua Soupa, best known as the dean of Cameroon's legal reports in Cameroon Tribune and CRTV, is no more. He died on December 8, 2023 in Yaounde after a protracted illness. He will be remembered for his dedication in reporting legal affairs from various court rooms in Cameroon. 
Yesterday, February 5, 2024, Cameroon Tribune reporters visited his residence at the Oyom-Abang neighbourhood in Yaounde where preparations for his imminent burial are ongoing. The team of reporters were received by the wife of the deceased, Datchoua née Pauline Deubou. With a teary eye she managed to recount the demise of a man, with whom she has spent most of her life. Since May 14, 2013 Datchoua née Pauline Deubou tells Cameroon Tribune how her husband has been sick and it is that illness that led to his death last December at the Yaounde Central Hospital. She recalled that even after retirement, when her husband was in good health, he continued with what he loved most: that is writing about legal cases taking place in different court rooms in Yaounde.
