Return To Normalcy : Youths Leaders Drilled To Be Peace Ambassadors

The youths who came from the North West and South West Regions were received at the North West Regional Assembly on February 2, 2024.

Some 30 youth leaders known as “Peace weavers” from both the North West and South West Regions have been drilled to become peace ambassadors in their various communities by Civic Watch Cameroon. They were received at the North West Regional Assembly on February 2, 2024 by the Commissioner of Economic Development, Ghejung Awunti who on behalf of the President of the Assembly described the visit as timely. Coming barely a week to the celebration of the 58th edition of Youth Day and on the heels of the peace and development Initiative carried out at the communities by the Assembly.
Ghejung Awunti, told the youths to take the engagement into their hands and accompany the Regional Assembly in its Peace and Development Initiative which has roots in all the 34 Subdivisions. He encouraged the youths to reflect on this year's Youth Day theme and take the advantage of all the programmes put forward by the State so as to be self-sufficient economically.
