Travel To China : New Visa Application Centre Opens In Yaounde

The inauguration on April 18, 2024 was jointly performed by the Minister-Counsellor in the Chinese Embassy to Cameroon, Chen Ya’ou. And the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of External Relations, Chinmoun Oumar.

The Chinese Embassy in Cameroon on Thursday, April 18, 2024 in Yaounde inaugurated its new delocalized visa application centre. The event was jointly chaired by Mrs. Chen Ya’ou, Minister-Counsellor in the Chinese Embassy in Cameroon. And Chinmoun Oumar, the Permanent General in the Ministry of External Relations. Amongst other government and diplomatic functionaries, as well as captains of industry. The new delocalized visa application centre is constructed in the Bastos neighbourhood of Yaounde, after being moved from the Chinese Embassy, located in another part of Bastos.  
In the past years, China-Cameroon relations have intensified, seeing a rise in the numbers of people applying for visas to China. Thus the setting up of the new visa application centre to handle the high demand, Mrs. Chen said. “China and Cameroon are always ready to open up their cooperation to new opportunities. The delocalized visa application centre is a big step in bilateral relations. I hope this will boost people-to-people relations and cooperation between our two countries,” the Minister-Counsellor noted.
