Buea : Pan Africa Institute For Development Marks 60 Years

It looked at its roadmap and the prospects the institution holds to drive itself into the future.

 

Pan-Africa Institute For Development Africa (PAID-WA) Buea has commemorated 60 years of it existence on May 11, 2024 in Buea. Week long activities on the campus started with cultural display. PAID-WA students throughout the week demonstrated extensive talents in football, volley ball, debate, dancing and cultural demonstrations from the various cultures in Cameroon, Nigeria and The Gambia. They also revisited how PAID-WA has evolved over the past 60 years, the challenges the institution has surmounted over the years and the prospects the Institute holds to drive PAID-WA into its future.
PAID-WA was created in Geneva in1964 with a mission of contributing to the economic, social and cultural development of African countries through action research, advisory support, academic training in the LMD system and professional training in short and long term and validation of acquired experience. Its field activities are governed both by the headquarters and technical cooperation agreements which link the institution to the various host countries, as well as by the specific conventions which govern its relations with partner administrations in the host countries.
