Cameroon 2024 Cycling Tour : Teams Begin Arriving In Maroua

Some teams have begun arriving in the Far North regional capital to get used to the environment ahead of the event.

In less than 48 hours, the 20th edition of the International Cycling Tour of Cameroon will kick off in Maroua in the Far North Region. In this light, preparations have gathered steam in the country. Organisers are leaving no stone unturned in order to ensure a hitch-free competition. Already some teams have begun arriving in the Far North Regional capital to get used to the environment ahead of the event. The national cycling team of Algeria is the first to arrive in Cameroon. The Fennecs Cyclists arrived on Monday May 27, 2024. 
Reports say teams from France and Holland arrived in the country yesterday, May 28, 2024. The delegations were received at the Nsimalen International Airport by the heads of the protocol and transport committees. The first delegations arrived in Maroua yesterday on board a Camairco flight. Prior to the arrivals, the race commissioner, French-born Max Michaud in the company of his compatriots, Nicolas Phillippon (photo finish operator) and René Pouget, the expert landed at the Yaounde-Nsimalen Airport on May 25, 2024. The visitors stayed in Yaounde while waiting for the trip to Maroua for the kick off of the competition.
