National Elite Handball Championship : New Season Kicks Off

Matches counting for the first playing day of the competition took place in stadiums across the country last weekend.

 

The new season for the National Elite Handball Championship kicked off in the country last weekend. In this light, matches counting for the first playing day of the competition were played in stadiums across the country. The season opened on the heels of the IHF Challenge Trophy Zone IV that took place in Yaounde last month. The competition enabled the players to prepare for the national championship. A total of eight matches were played.
In the women’s category, FANZ Handball Club of Yaounde defeated Soleil Levant of Bertoua 30-13, FAP Hndball Club of Yoaunde beat Diva of Baham 32-19, TKC Handball Club of Yoaunde beat Handball Club of Douala 32-11, YUC Handball Club beat Dynamique of Bokito 36-21. In the men’s category, FANZ beat Soleil Levant of Bertoua 26-11, FAP Yaounde beat University of Buea Handball Club 27-16, Spartiates of Yaounde beat University of Buea 30-14 and Friendship of Yaounde beat Renaissance of Douala 21-12.
