Developing Fisheries and Animal Industries : CDPM Board Members Examine Accounts

This was during the 67th ordinary session of the Board held in Douala on 28 June.

Members of the Board of Directors of the Fund for the Development of Maritime Fisheries (CDPM) met in Douala on Friday 28 June, for the 67th ordinary session to examine the various accounts of the institution and the mid-term report on the performance of activities for 2024. The session, which was held in camera, also examined the 2023 reports and the implementation of the 2024 work plan. The Board meeting was chaired by the Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industry, Dr Taiga, who encouraged the Board members to work towards the development of fisheries and aquaculture in Cameroon.
The Board meeting approved the various accounts and the implementation of the 2024 work plan. The meeting also revealed that the implementation rate of the 2023 budget is 92.3 per cent.  According to the Executive Secretary of the Maritime and Fisheries Development Fund, Dr Salvador Ngoande, last year they mainly supported monitoring and control activities while adding that they were also working to promote local fish production.
