To crown week-long activities, a gala night was organised and chaired by the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Cameron News and Publishing Corporation (SOPECAM), Joseph LE, also the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms.
In his toast at the Hilton Hotel, where the gala night took place on July 5, 2024, Minister Joseph LE said Cameroon Tribune was worth being celebrated as it clocks 50 years. While wishing Cameroon Tribune better days ahead, the SOPECAM Board Chair said the importance of the press cannot be overemphasized. “Without the newspaper and other media, we cannot be informed. It is good for Cameroon Tribune to continue informing the public. That is why we are happy because our Head of State always says the press is very important and also accompanies the press.
