Cricket Cup of Cameroon : Cheetahs, Emergence Clubs Lift Trophies

It was an exceptional day at the Lycée Général Leclerc campus in Yaounde on Saturday July 13, 2024. The event was the finals of the 2024 Joint Domestic League and Cup of Cameroon tournaments for both men and women. Organised by the Cameroon Cricket Federation (FECACRICKET), the event brought together 12 senior men’s cricket teams and 10 senior women’s teams. The competition marked the end of the cricket season in Cameroon. The Cameroon Cricket Federation is the first to organise its Cup of Cameroon finals following an order by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education calling on national sports federations to organise their cup finals. 
In the women’s final, Emergence Cricket Club of Mvog Ada Yaounde beat Academy Ladies Cricket Club of Douala 87-62 runs. In the men’s final, Cheetahs Cricket Club of Bamenda beat Sixers Cricket Club of Edea 83-56. Cheetahs Cricket Club of Bamenda equally won the championship title for the second consecutive time. The trophy for the best women player went to Ngono Adriane of Emergence Ladies Cricket Club. The trophy for the Man of The Match went to Engo Laurent. Nseke Alain of Cheetahs Cricket Club won the trophy for the best player.
