Women’s Military World Cup : Lionesses Begin Preparations

Some 31 preselected players will start training in Yaounde ahead of the competition that will take place in Pyongyang in 2025.

The national women’s military football team will take part in the 15th edition of the Women’s Military World Cup in Pyongyang, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea from October 16 to 30, 2025. Ahead of the competition, the coach of the women’s military team, Josephine Ndoumou Mike has published a list of 31 preselected players to begin training. On Coach Ndoumou Mike list are our goalkeepers, 10 defenders, nine midfielders and eight attackers. The training session will kick off today, Monday, July 22, 2024 at the Presidential Guard Stadium in Obili, Yaounde in view of preparing better for a 2025 edition. The 31 preselected players called up are keen to sharpen their skills. 
The Lionesses' performances in this competition have been impressive. During the last edition in 2023 Cameroon finished third on the podium with a bronze medal. Josephine Mike Ndoumou's players beat the host country 4-3 in the classification match thanks to a hat-trick from Raïssa Nnanga and a goal from Naomie Eto'o.
