CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers : Lekié FF Know Their Opponents

The draw for the 2024 qualifiers took place in Cairo Wednesday July 24, 2024.

Cameroon’s representative in the CAF Women’s Champions League will play their first match against Atlético Feminino of Malabo (Equatorial Guinea) in the qualifying round of the CAF Women’s Champions League. This was the outcome of the official draw of the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League that took place in Cairo Wednesday July 24, 2024. According to the draw, the 2023 Guinness Super League champions Lekié Football Filles are set to compete in the UNIFFAC Zone in hopes of securing a spot in the final phase of the CAF Women’s Champions League. Lekié FF will equally play against CSM Diables Noirs (Congo) and TP Mazembe (DR Congo). 
Lekie FF won the 2023 edition of the Guinness Super League championship tile and by virtue of that qualified to represent Cameroon in the 2024/2025 inter-club competition. They equally won the 2023 Cup of Cameroon and finished second in the 2024 edition of the Guinness Super League. It will be the first time Lekié FF is participating in the CAF Champions League qualfiers. Niether has the team participated in any international competition. No Cameroonian team has gone beyond the qualifiers of the CAF Women’s Champions League. Louves MINPROFF was eliminated in the first round of the qualifiers during the first edition in 2020. The second team, Awa Filles was equally knocked out in the qualifiers in 2021. The dream of Cameroonian fans is for Lekié FF to go beyond the qualifiers this year.
