Julien Alfred : New 100m Queen

Julien Alfred is the new 100m queen in the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The sprinter from Santa Lucia won the 100m gold to the surprise of all at the Stade France on Saturday August 3, 2024. By winning the gold medal, Julien has created history for her country. Alfred (23) largely dominated the final in 10′72 (-0.1 m/s) ahead of Richardson (10′87) and another American, Melissa Jefferson (10′92). Sha'Carri Richardson, the fastest sprinter of the season and reigning world champion, was unable to overcome the crazy pressure of the event in the pouring rain on the elegant purple track at the Stade de France.
