Youth Football : CFF Garoua, Achico FC Are Champions

The finals of the national youth championship took place at the Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium in Yaounde on Friday August 2, 2024.

CFF of Garoua and Achico FC of Bamenda are the champions of Cameroon in the U17 and u15 categories. The finals of the national youth championship took place at the Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium in Yaounde on Friday August 2, 2024. Organised by the National Youth Football League, the competition brought together teams from all the ten regions of the country. The competition took place at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo and the FECAFOOT Technical Centre in Odza, Yaounde. It was an opportunity for the young players to showcase their talents and also for experts to detect young talents. Two matches were on programme at the Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium. 
The U-17 final pitted Achico FC against CFF of Garoua in a thrilling encounter. CFF of Garoua carried the day beating Achio 1-0. CFF of Garoua finished the competition with five matches and five victories. In the U-15 category, Achico FC of Bamenda beat Best Stars of Limbe 2-1. The coach of CFF of Garoua, Ibrahima Haman said his team was able to make it through hard work. He said the team faces difficulties such as lack of infrastructure but the players are working hard. He said some of the players are already available for the Elite One clubs. He said some clubs have already started contacting him for players. The coach of Achico FC U-17 team Ghislain Temokem said it was not a good day for his team. He said the team had several opportunities to score but they did not exploit them. He said the team lacks sports facilities to train and they have limited play time...
