Goalkeeping : Assuring First Choice

While André Onana continues to impress in the English Premier League with Manchester United, questions linger about the depth of the goalkeeping compartment for the Indomitable Lions. Now with a full season under his belt at Old Trafford, and an extensive career history at top European clubs, the United gloveman is a key senior player within the group. 
A successful debut campaign in Manchester United saw Onana play an instrumental role in their trophy-winning season last term, appearing in all but one of the Reds' 52 games in 2023/24. In their opening game of the just-started season, Onana was very instrumental in the team’s 1-0 success over Fulham keeping a clean sheet. André Onana made a couple of acrobatic saves, stopping shots from Kenny Tete and Rodrigo Muniz. 
But away from Onana, there are doubts over the competence of those who can serve as backup. The two Simons, Omossola and Ngapandouetnbu that were called up in the previous two encounters of the Indomitable Lions are not reassuring looking at their club-performances.
