Buea : Mad Rushing Truck Quenches Two Lives

The population of Buea wake up on Wednesday August 21, 2024 to yet another horror of a road accident in their town. A madly-driven truck crushed two taxis with one almost beyond recognition, claimed two lives and destroyed part of the fence of the Cameroon General Certificate of Education Board’s compound. The unfortunate incident happened at 7 am. 
It was about 6:58 am that the dreadful drama started. A truck of Mercedes brand bearing matriculation LT134 LA was descending the Buea main boulevard from Great Soppo direction at neck break speed. Bystanders at the accident scene said they heard the conductor of the truck shouting at the top of his voice that people should make way. This is in itself was indicative of brakes failure, one of the witnesses at the scene said. The truck damaged two taxis. The first taxi is VA TOYOTA Yaris with matriculation SW 739 BL and the second is TOYOTA Corolla matriculated SW 550 BJ, completely shattered. 
The two deceased have been identified by the Police. There is the taxi driver of the TOYOTA Corolla taxi, Ewang Elvis (35 years) who died on the spot and its passenger, Fobasso Bertrand (37 years) who died 15 minutes after arriving the Buea Regional Hospital.
