2025 AFCON Qualifiers : Lions Begin Effective Training

The team consisting of 21 players participated in the first training session that took place yesterday at the Yaounde Omnisports Annex 1 stadium.

The Lions arrived the Yaounde Omnisports Annex 1 stadium at 4:10pm to begin bracing up ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying games against Namibia on September 7 and Zimbabwe on September 10, 2024. 21 players took part in the training session. Yvan Neyou, Nohou Tollo, Yvan Dibango and Harold Moukoudi were not yet present. We could not get first-hand information on when the players would join the rest of the team. Not called in the list of 24 players published last Friday by the Cameroon Football Federation, Kunde Malong surprisingly trained with the team. The first training exercise behind closed doors with players was coordinated by Joachim Mununga (Coach Marc Brys’ assistant) and Christopher Manouvrier (Physical fitness trainer) while on the other side, the goalkeeping trainer, Alioum Boukar trained with the three goalkeepers.
