African Centre For Olympic Studies and Research : Newly Appointed Officials Commissioned

The Acting Director General, Augustin Claude Tang Essomba and Acting Deputy Director, Oumarou Tado, were officially installed in Yaounde on September 5, 2024.

Newly appointed officials of the African Centre for Olympic Studies and Research (CAERO) have been commissioned into their functions. The Acting Director General, Augustin Claude Tang Essomba and Acting Deputy Director, Oumarou Tado, were officially installed during a ceremony that took place at the headquarters of CAERO in Yaounde on September 5, 2024. 
Speaking at the occasion, the President of the National Olympic and Sports Committee, Hamad Kalkaba Malboum challenged the newly appointed officials to put their rich experiences in sports at the service of the centre. 
Augustin Claude Tang Essomba, Director of Studies, Research, Education and Training in (CAERO) since the creation of CAEO, is a Senior Adviser for Youth and Animation, who during his career has obtained other certificates among them a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Quebec, Canada. Dr. Oumarou Tado, Director General of the Cameroon National Olympic Academy (ANOC) since 11 July 2022, holds a doctorate in sports management from Claude Bernard University in Lyon, France, which he obtained in 1997. From 2000 to 2017, he was Director of the INJS, Head of the Studies and Cooperation Division, Director of General Affairs, Director of Sports, Director of Standards and Organisation Monitoring, and finally Secretary General of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education...
