Cameroon-HCR Resident : Representative Hands Official Documents

Yvette Muhimpundu presented her Lettres of Introduction to Minister Felix Mbayu during an audience yesterday September 10, 2024.

The newly designated Resident Representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to Cameroon, Yvette Muhimpundu has handed her Lettres of Introduction to the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu. This was during an audience the latter granted the former yesterday September 10, 2024 at the Ministry of External Relations.  
Following the presentation of her documents, she officially begins work in Cameroon and her mission will be to help and protect refugees, forcefully displaced communities, and Stateless people, and assisting in their voluntary repatriation, local integration or settlement to a third country.  
Yvette Muhimpundu has a rich experience with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, having been a staff of the specialised UN agency since 1999. With a professional career of more than 25 years, she has been able to enhance her skills in leadership in the humanitarian domain, with a constant engagement in the protection and finding lasting solutions to forcefully displaced persons in a complicated context.
