Yaounde DIXIADES 2024 : Local Organising Committee Members Commissioned

The National Olympic Games of Cameroon DIXIADES 2024 will take place in Yaounde in the Mfoundi Division of the Centre Region from December 11 to 21, 2024. It is in this light that the members of the Local Organising Committee in charge of the organisation of the Games were commissioned in to function yesterday, October 9, 2024 in Yaounde. The Governor of the Centre Region presided over the ceremony in the presence of members of the Executive Committee of the National Olympic and Sports of Committee of Cameroon as well as top officials of the Mfoundi Division.
Speaking at the occasion, the Governor of the Centre Region, Naseri Paul Bea said Yaounde will host the competition. He called on the subcommittee heads to begin work immediately given the limited time left. Consequently, the plan of activities of each subcommittee must be submitted to the supervision committee before Friday, October 18, 2024. He called on the members to work with celerity and commitment in order to meet set objectives and also raise the profile of the Centre Region during the Games. “We are going to host this important activity in Yaounde and we have put in place a very strategic committee owing to the importance of the region so that we can make a difference from what has been happening in order regions,” he said.
