National Championship : Resumption Imminent

An Ordinary General Assembly of the Cameroon Football Federation took place in Mbankomo in outskirts of Yaounde on Saturday November 16, 2024 and decided on the modalities.

The new season for the national football championship will resume in the days ahead. This is one of the resolutions of an Ordinary General Assembly of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) that took place in Mbankomo in the outskirts of Yaounde on Saturday November 16, 2024. The General Assembly came on the heels of the Executive Commiittee of the institution that took place on Friday November 15, 2024. Speaking at the opening, Samuel Eto’o announced the start of the U-17 football league in Cameroon as from the 2024-2025 season. He said the process of professionalization of Cameroon football is ongoing and will continue. During the discussions, the members examined certain issues like update on FIFA's recommendations concerning the review of the MINSEP/FECAFOOT agreement of February 5, 2015, examination of the situation of the clubs, update on the leagues and election of some members of the General Assembly into the Executive Committee in view of the vacancy of certain posts, among others. In this light, Pascal Abunde, President of the Association of Elite Clubs of Cameroon (ACEC) and Joseph Pierre Batamack, President of Avion Academie of Douala were confirmed as members of the FECAFOOT Executive Committee.
